I understand why the lady said she is glad the girl is not white. It’s because in this country black women have historically been made to feel unattractive and we are constantly getting the message that even black men, if given a choice, would not choose a black woman. It is unfortunate, but when top athletes like LeBron and Mike Vick and D. Wade choose a black woman out of all the women they could have, it validates black women and serves to rebuild confidence in black beauty. But please know that you are beautiful whether these famous guys are with a white, black or whatever else. I am in a black/white relationship, and most of the time it is about two people just wanting to be together regardless of race. He admitted that he was wrong, served his time and took the consequences and criticism like a MAN! He deserves another chance as does anyone else who has fallen short. I am a real lover of animals, especially dogs. And at first I almost hated Mike Vick for what he did to those dogs, and I wanted him to be punished severely. But after a while I realized that if Michael Vick were a White athlete that was involved in dog fighting, the actions against him would not have been nearly as severe as it was for Mike Vick. And even though what Mike Vick did was barbaric and wrong, I began to see how the scales of justice is different for Black people. So now I feel that Mike Vick has paid more than enough for what he did, as long as he has learned his lesson and will never get involved with anything like that again. I’m glad that he is getting a second chance with his football career, and I hope that his career is as successful or more than it was before. And all of the White people that wanted to see him fall and not get back up, can now kiss him and his beautiful Black girlfriend’s azzes, as Vick rises back to the top!
